It's cool again to be Square

Hey there team!
So I've decided to make the jump away from Blogger, and head over to Squarespace. I've done this for many reasons, and with a little encouragement by my brother in law, who currently uses it for his own business (The Entrance Collective), I've made the switch. Now I can have everything in one easy place, including my shop, services for both wedding and other custom work, a little bit of a blog, and all in an easier to navigate (especially on my end!) page.

New Custom Work

I haven't shared much custom work on, mainly because I forget to snap a picture of it before it's packaged up and sent off to it's new home. I'm making a point from now on to capture each custom piece that I do, to share with all of you!

Below is two custom orders I did last week. I enjoyed making both of these so much, because both are excellent pieces of scripture. I'm so happy that the ladies who purchased each of these were so pleased with the final products. It was even more exciting, because I was able to deliver both of these pieces to their new owners in person! Getting to see their faces as they see the final pieces is something that I'm so glad I got to take part in.

The first piece is heading out to a bridal shower in a couple weeks. Painting those wildflowers just made it feel like spring was blooming super quickly right in my studio. I'm thinking that I might have to make myself a print of this piece, to hang in my new workspace! Yep, I have a new space, but more on that later, when it doesn't look like a tornado has swept through, as nothing has an official home yet, and is just laying in piles all over the desk.

And now abide by faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

This piece is one of the biggest piece I've lettered so far. The 14"x18" just barely fit on my desk, and painting all those letters at the top of the page definitely became a challenge. I can't wait to see it's new home up on the teal wall it's going to soon call home. I believe that it's going to be the central piece of a gallery wall in a newly renovated room. For the teal accent, I snooped on instagram through the renos, and saw that this client had gotten new bedding with the similar polka dot pattern that was emulated on this piece. Those dots were surprisingly fun! I can't wait to see the final gallery wall when it's all put together!

New Spring Work from the Shop!

I finally have been able to snap some quick pictures of some new work, just listed in the shop! Hop on over and grab one of the new pieces! Don't forget that Mother's Day is coming up soon, and there's a couple of spring-y looking cards waiting for you to give to her!

Happy Spring everyone! It looks like spring might actually be staying (hopefully!) this time. We had 4 inches of snow the other day...even though the morning before I was wearing flip flops out to the store. It's definitely been headache city around here. I'm comforting it with Tylenol, sweet tea, and Duck Dynasty marathons.
